How to quickly & easily refresh the look of your timber decking
Shake & insert
Shake the EasyDeck™ bottle for 1 minute prior to using. Shake only with the bottle cap on and keep it handy for later use. Replace the bottle cap with the dispensing nozzle and screw on firmly. Place the EasyDeck™ bottle into the applicator firmly.
Get coating!
Unhook the trigger and squeeze the handle 6-10 times until the applicator pad is soaked. Use long, smooth strokes along the direction of the boards. Avoid excessive coating. Wait 40 minutes for the coating to dry, and it's ready to walk on!
Clean up Remove the applicator bottle from the applicator vertically without tilting. Replace the dispensing nozzle with the bottle cap. Unused EasyDeck™ coating can be stored in a cool, dry area for up to a year. Rinse the dispensing nozzle and the applicator pad under running water until the water runs clear. Flush the applicator body with running water whilst pumping the yellow cleaning levers on the sides until the water runs completely clear.
Storage & repeat use Store in a cool, covered area. It is recommended to wait at least 40 days between uses. The Cabot's EasyDeck™ maintenance system is recommended for use between normal recoat cycles of Cabot's Aquadeck®. Allow at least 30 days after reapplying Aquadeck® to use the EasyDeck™ maintenance system.
The EasyDeck system is designed to be used frequently to maintain your outdoor timber deck, removing dust, dirt and debris and leaving you with a freshly coated finish ready for entertaining. EasyDeck can be used monthly.
The applicator pad is designed to trap dust and keep it trapped whilst allowing the Maintenance Coat to flow through onto the deck.
EasyDeck™ will not change the base colour of your timber. It's designed to enhance the existing colour of your decking, providing an aesthetic refresh in the process.
EasyDeck™ will alter the finish of solvent based products so is not recommended for use with solvent/oil-based products.
The system is compatible with use on top of water-based coatings such as Cabot's Aquadeck.
EasyDeck™ cannot be used on new/bare, grey, patchy, or worn timber. It is designed for use over existing water-based coatings that are in good condition.
EasyDeck™ cannot be used on grey, patchy, or worn timber.
The system can be used on lightly damp timber, but it will not work on pooled water.
At least 30 days.
40 minutes for heavy foot traffic.
The applicator can still be used in direct sunlight and hot weather conditions, but you may experience some spreading issues due to the coating drying too quickly.
There is no need to clean or sand before use. You should brush your deck prior to using it, to remove larger debris and sport clean where appropriate.
Furniture items that you don't typically move can be left, and smaller items that you move frequently, like chairs, should be removed to avoid uncoated patches.
It will get mixed with a coating or get trapped under it. For very large stains, we recommend using Cabot's Everyday Deck Wash prior to coating.
If needed, you can cut around the edges by hand using the applicator pad. However, being a maintenance system, this step is not required.
No. The Cabot's EasyDeck™ Maintenance Coat does not protect your timber. It is designed to restore the look of your timber and is intended to be used between recoats with a water based decking oil such as Cabot's Aquadeck. Look out for signs of cracking, splitting, greying, or water no longer beading on top of the deck to know when it's time to recoat with a decking oil.
The applicator may be clogged due to improper cleaning after prior use. Try to remove the bottle and reinsert it. If the issue persists, flush the pump mechanism with hot running water while pumping the yellow levers.
No. The system is only compatible with the Cabot's EasyDeck™ Maintenance Coat. The applicator pad and pump mechanism are calibrated to the coating's specific viscosity and formulation to ensure optimal application experience. Using other water based coatings may cause an uneven finish and reduced film build, compromising the protection of your deck. The use of solvent based products will chemically degrade the plastic components of the applicator, leading to failure and potential leakage.
At least 30 days.
