How to Fix Timber Chips and Scratches With Cabot's Touch Up Stain Pens

Try as you might, it's not always possible to keep your interior timber in flawless condition. No need to stress! When it comes to unsightly scratches and chips, it is possible to cover them up with Cabot's Touch Up Stain Pens.

You won't need a whole tin of timber stain to fix little nicks and marks. Our convenient wood touch up pens leave just the right amount of interior timber stain to quickly hide small marks on your timber. They are available in five colours - Black, Golden Maple, Honey Oak, Jarrah Redgum, and Walnut Brown – to camouflage with your existing timber finish. They feature a fine pen tip to help you get into tight corners or crevices without requiring a fine brush.

How it works: When the surface of your timber is scratched, nicked, or chipped, it affects the topmost layer of your timber's stain or oil finish. Our Touch Up Stain Pens deposit a small amount of matching interior timber stain to the affected or damaged area, which helps it blend in with the rest of the timber.

Get Started

1. Ensure your timber surface is clean and dry, free of dust, grease, or wax.

1. Shake the Touch Up Stain Pen and gently press the tip on a piece of scrap paper to start the flow of stain.

2. Apply the stain to the damaged area, using light and even strokes. Use the pen tip to access corners and crevices.

3. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe any excess stain.

4. Allow to dry.
